Top 3 Goal-Setting Tips for Real Success

Even if it's not a "new year" anymore, there is no time like the present to turn a fresh leaf over and start making your dreams come true.

Setting goals doesn't have to be overwhelming. In fact, achieving your dreams should be fun and simple. (Simple… not necessarily easy.) Here are 3 tips for successfully achieving your goals in a simple and fun way.

Write (and re-write) your goals.
It is incredibly important to solidify your dreams and desires into goals on paper. Re-write your goals every day so they will always be fresh and updated. It also important to post them where you can see them at all times. There is nothing more powerful than you and your mindset. When you repeatedly write, re-write, and read your goals, they will always be at the front of your mind, rather than somewhere else in your sub-conscious.

Keep good company.
There is nothing more depressing than a naysayer who bursts your bubble without a thought. Try and limit your time around those kinds of people as much as possible. When you surround yourself with people who will constantly support you and cheer you on, you will notice a difference. You'll find yourself feeling more positive. You'll feel more inspired. You'll begin to believe in yourself as your circle of support obviously does. With all of those positive feelings and beliefs working for you, achieving your goals will be more like gliding than fighting.

Establish action steps.
To achieve a goal, you'll need a plan. In this plan, you will break down your big goal into smaller, action steps that you must take in order to achieve it. The trick here is that when an action step must be taken, you must take it. The responsibility is 100% on you to take your action steps in order to achieve your goals. If you do not take action, you will not achieve your goals, no matter how many times you write and re-write them, and no matter how good your company is at supporting you.

Each of these tips came directly from Melanie Fine's new goal-achieving system, called the 7-Step Success Action Plan for Finally Achieving All of Your Goals. In this package, she includes a daily planner that allows you to lay out each one of the action steps required to get you closer to achieving your goals.
